Ottium is made by vostic.dev. Short version: your reminders, notes and stats never leave your Mac. The app sends anonymous usage counts, which you can turn off, and this site counts downloads and keeps the emails of people who ask to hear about Pro. Nothing is sold or shared for advertising.
On your Mac
Reminders, notes, history, stats, Focus sessions and settings are stored only on your Mac, in Ottium's own folder (~/Library/Containers/dev.vostic.Ottium). The AI features use Apple Intelligence on your Mac; what you type there isn't sent anywhere.
Anonymous usage counts
To see whether Ottium is used and which features matter, the app sends anonymous signals to TelemetryDeck, an analytics service made for apps, based in the EU. They carry a random ID made for your installation (hashed before it's sent), never your name, email, reminder titles or notes. Turn it off anytime in Settings → General → Share anonymous usage; then Ottium doesn't start TelemetryDeck at all.

TelemetryDeck adds the app's version, the macOS version, the Mac model and processor type, language and region, a few accessibility settings (such as Reduce Motion), and a session start at each launch.
Updates
About once a day Ottium reads ottium.pitlane.win/version.json to see if there's a new version. That's an ordinary web request; nothing about you is sent with it.
This website
The site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views and see where visitors come from. It uses no cookies and doesn't track you across sites. Downloads are counted per day and version, without anything about who downloaded.
The Pro waitlist
If you leave your email under Pro, it's stored with the date, only to email you once when Pro is available. To have it removed, write to [email protected].
Feedback emails
Send Feedback in the app opens an email to me with your Ottium version, macOS version, Mac model and whether Apple Intelligence is on. You see it before you send it.
